e-Xtract, a mobile application that aims to provide an accessible platform for sustainable e-waste dismantling and recycling. The application uses the YOLOv11 algorithm, to identify various internal components of e-waste – specifically in categories such as smartphones, laptops, desktops, and telecommunication devices. Once the components are detected, a rule-based knowledge system provides detailed dismantling procedures, resale value guidance, proper disposal instructions, and disposal locations.
